The USS Arizona was launched on June 19, 1915 and commissioned on October 17, 1916. The Arizona displaced over 32,600 tons, was 608 feet long, and was 106 feet at the beam. The main armament was 12 14-inch guns. On December 7, 1941, while at anchor at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, the USS Arizona was sunk by Imperial Japanese Naval aircraft. A monument to the 1,177 crewmembers who died during the attack was built over the wreak and dedicated on May 30, 1962. This diagram/print depicts the Arizona as she appeared at the time of the attack. It is in mint condition, measures 11" x 17", is signed and dated by the artist.
